Pete Sampras announced his retirement in August of 2003. He tried to start up his career again in 2006, but lost in an exhibition match against Robby Ginepri. He now lives with Bridgette Wilson, his wife and former Miss Teen USA, and their two sons, Christian Charles and Ryan Nikolaos.
He acknowledged in his book that he was one of those professional sport athletes that pick up the sport as a child that is barely conscious of what they have in their hand, just like how Tiger Woods picked up a golf club.
Pete wins yet another Grand Slam at the U.S.
Open.
